The best part of this dish is the combination of sweet, sour, and spicy elements. All thanks to the combination of soy sauce and Sambal sauce. The latter is a typical Southeast Asia chilli-based blend.
Begin by boiling the pasta. When the pasta is ready, drain it, and set it aside. Meanwhile, use a bowl to mix the sweet soy sauce, the sambal sauce, and the ginger.
Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the wok or frying pan and place on a medium-high heat. Add half of the shallots and half the ground garlic, and sauté for about 30 seconds. When you start to smell the aroma of the ingredients, add the prawns and sauté them until they look pink. When they are ready, remove them from the wok.
Add another tablespoon of oil to the wok. Add the remaining shallots and ground garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add the broccoli, mushrooms, and onion and sauté for 2 or 3 minutes. When tender, add the pasta, prawns, and sauce blend.
Then, place on the serving dishes that you want to take to the table. With the food on the dish, add a few cashews as a topping and pour more soy sauce on top if you want. Then, to finish, add the lime juice before serving.
